Early Years Foundation Stage

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to five years old.

Through play and games, EYFS will develop the following areas:

  • communication and language
  • physical development
  • personal, social and emotional development
  • literacy
  • mathematics
  • understanding of the world
  • expressive arts and design
