Occupational therapy team (OT)
Disabled Children Service have close links with the Disabled Children Occupational Therapist Team. They offer an assessment to any child or young person aged between 3 - 19 years old who is eligible for support with their occupational therapy needs.
An occupational therapist carries out the assessments and, if eligible, a range of individual support may be provided that can enable disabled children and young people to carry out their daily tasks with more confidence and independence.
Areas we can help with can be:
- Moving and handling assessments and equipment
- Specialist equipment
- Housing adaptations
- Support with re-housing for specific needs
