Grace period
If you are no longer eligible for the extended entitlement of 30 hours funded childcare, you will enter a grace period and your child will be able to retain their funded place for a short period.
Based upon the date a parent receives an ineligible decision, the following timeframe will apply:
Received ineligible decision between
1 January to 10 February
- Local authority audit carried out - 11 February
- Grace period ends - 31 March
11 February to 31 March
- Local authority audit carried out - 1 April
- Grace period ends - 31 August
1 April to 26 May
- Local authority audit carried out - 27 May
- Grace period ends - 31 August
27 May to 31 August
- Local authority audit carried out - 1 September
- Grace period ends - 31 December
1 September to 21 October
- Local authority audit carried out - 22 October
- Grace period ends - 31 December
22 October to 31 December
- Local authority audit carried out - 1 January
- Grace period ends - 31 March
