Free and low cost family-friendly activities take place this in Leicester this week.
Monday 17 August
- Get up and go!
Take part in free activities for all the family with Leicester's children, young people centres- 10am to 12noon at St Matthews
- 1pm to 3pm at:
- Reading rhythm dance workshops
Bring your dancing feet, make new moves and find your rhythm at these free, fun sessions for children
- Sessions between 11.30am to 2.30pm at Highfields Library
- Ages 6 to 11
Tuesday 18 August
- Get up and go!

- Leicester Cathedral summer activities
Enjoy free craft activities and family fun with a different theme each week.

- Sun print bookmarks
Pop by and make your own Read to the Beat bookmark using the sun print technique.
- 1pm to 3pm at New Parks Library
- Ages 5+
Wednesday 19 August
- Arty Party!
Bring the kids for a fantastic creative day at Newarke Houses Museum. We will have lots of art and craft materials for you to choose from to make whatever you want to make! Bring your own ideas or use some of ours. There will be a variety of ideas and helpers available to help you decide what to make. Explore the gardens to find pictures of art and artists in our garden trail.- 12noon to 3pm at Newarke Houses
- Crafts and activities, £4 per child pre-booked online, or £5 at the door. Accompanying adults free.
