Family hub navigators

Family hub navigators provide information, advice, and guidance on a wide range of services and/or issues for families.  They can also refer and signpost families, children and young people to further support, advocating on their behalf with other agencies/providers where necessary. 

Advice and support can be provided in the following areas:

• Pregnancy and supporting children in their early years
• Parenting support
• Education and child development
• SEND
• Health and wellbeing
• Financial, housing and employment support.

How to refer

Parents and carers can visit any of the best start family hubs and make a self-referral.  If a school would like to refer on a parent or carers behalf, they must make sure that the have their permission and can then email or call the family hub navigator to provide them with a brief overview of the support that is needed.
