Free and low cost family-friendly activities take place this in Leicester this week.

    Summer Reading Challenge Story Garden themed crafts, including bug goggles, a book flutterby and a 3D garden scene.

  • Leicester Cathedral family activities
    Enjoy summer holiday craft activities with a different theme each week.  
    • Drop in between 10am and 12noon; 2pm and 4pm at Leicester Cathedral
    • Theme of the week: Garden and grow
    • Ages 3+
  • Railway days
    Come and enjoy a ride on the diesel driven Narrow Gauge Railway this summer!  Bring a picnic to enjoy in the wonderful museum grounds. 
  • Simple science - Wild robots
    Make your own junk robot to link up with the Wild Robot series by Peter Brown.
    • Sessions between 1.15pm and 3pm at Westcotes Library

Wednesday 20 August

  • Crafting at the Haymarket
    Take part in the free STOMP and jungle themed crafting for all in the Community Hub and make a cheeky monkey. 
  • Eh up me duck!
    Join a ‘quacking’ day of duck crafts and activities. Find out about this familiar East Midlands phrase, make your own duck hat, and find pictures of your favourite duck characters around the gardens in the "eh up me duck" trail.
    • 12noon to 3pm at Newarke Houses
