Summer HAF 2025

Our HAF programme is only available to children and young people who meet all of the following criteria:

• live in Leicester city, or live outside of the city but attend a city school
• are aged between 4 to 16 and in full-time education
• are receiving benefits related free school meals

This summer, eligible children can access up to four weeks of free activities and food.  Our programmes are either a:

• HAF programme - This a week long programme that runs for four days, unless stated.  You can register for up to four of these programme weeks.  Your child will receive a healthy meal each day they attend. 
• Gym pass / boxing passes – This is multiple use passes that young people can use across the summer holiday instead of attending a HAFprogramme.  Supplementary food vouchers or hampers are provided (max 16 vouchers over the holiday period). 

Before registering, parents and carers were asked to consider the:

• Programme type – HAF programme or gym/boxing pass
• Location of the programme and how your child will get there
• Days and the time of the programme 
• Age range of the programme

Registration will close on Friday 27 June 2025. 

It is important that you apply for places at the earliest point possible as places are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis to eligible children.  Late applications will not be considered.  

HAF programmes are available to eligible children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and our providers endeavour to meet all children’s needs. Please provide as much information as possible about your child's needs when completing your registration form.

Our programme providers will contact you prior to the start date to discuss your child's needs and to plan for any adjustments that are required.  If a provider is not able to meet your child's needs, we will signpost you to alternative provision that may be more suitable.
