Local area SEND inspection

Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) carried out their Leicester's local area SEND inspection between 8 and 26 September 2025. 

The three week inspection allowed inspectors to:

• Gather evidence about how effective provision is for children and young people with SEND in the local area.   
• Evaluate how well the local authority commissions and oversees alternative provision. 

The findings of the inspection will be published at a later date.
