Henry Healthy Start programme

The Henry Healthy Start programme is a free eight-week course and series of workshops for parents and carers living in Leicester with a baby or child aged 0–5 years, led by trained local Henry facilitators.
The programme is perfect for families looking to create a healthier, happier lifestyle together. It covers a range of topics including:
- wellbeing
- family routines
- healthy eating and mealtimes
- physical activity
- screen time
- sleep
- behaviour management
- positive parenting strategies
What is Henry?
Henry is a popular eight-week free fun programme designed to give babies and young children a good start and to help the whole family to adopt a healthier lifestyle. It supports families in changing habits and achieving healthier ways of living that work for them.
Each session begins with family time, followed by parent time, during which parents and carers explore the topic of the week. Participating families receive the Henry toolkit and supporting materials, as well as links to other organisations and services working across Leicester.
We can't wait to welcome you to a Henry course or workshop.
Who can attend?
The programme is open to any parent or carers. who lives in Leicester city, with children aged 0-5 years.
If you live outside of the City, please contact your local council, such as Leicestershire County Council, to find out what local support is available to you.
Henry eight week courses
The next eight week course, delivered by Leicester Mammas will take place at:
- Saffron children, young people and family centre
- From 3 February to 21 April 2026
- 10am to 12.30pm
Henry two hour workshop
- Fussy eating
- Tuesday 27 January 2026
