What to do if someone is not safe

Staying safe is everyone’s business. If you are concerned for the safety of another person, it’s important to tell someone you trust and who can stop it getting worse or get help from the right service.

Duty and Advice Service is the first point of contact for all safeguarding referrals to children's services and will deal with anything that relates to city children.

If you are concerned about the safety and wellbeing of a child or feel you need additional support, contact:

• Duty and Advice on 0116 454 1004

A social worker will talk to you about your concerns and will advice of any action required. The service is open 24 hours, 7 days a week, all year.
