Your holiday activities and food programme place registration request will go through the following steps:
Free school meal check
The child's details provided on the form will be checked against the council's Free School Meals database to see if the child is currently receiving benefits related free school meals.
- If the child is receiving benefits related free school meals, a programme place check will be carried out.
- If the child is not receiving benefits related free school meals, a non-eligible letter will be sent to the email address provided on the form.
Programme place check
As the number of places are limited, places are allocated on a first come first served basis. This is based on the date the registration form is submitted and your child being eligible at that time.
Only one programme place can be offered to eligible children and a check will be carried out to make sure no other place has been allocated.
- If a space is available, an allocation letter will be sent to the email address provided on the form.
- If the programme is full, a letter will be emailed to explain alternative options.
- If the child has already been offered a place on another programme, a rejection letter will be emailed.
Please check your email inbox, including spam and junk files. Emails will be titled holiday activities and food programme and issued from a Gov.uk email address.
Response time
If you have applied by Tuesday 5 March 2023, you will receive an email confirmation of your application week commencing 18 March 2024. However, we will endeavour to process your request at the earliest point. The response will be sent to the email address you provided on your application.
