Bumps to babies for teen parents-to-be
A group for for teenagers who are parents which provides support and advice to help them through their pregnancy journey.
Run by early years workers, early start public health nurses (health visitors) and midwives, this friendly and relaxed group offers over five sessions and talks about topics such as:
- looking after yourself in pregnancy
- labour and pain relief
- feeding your baby
- becoming a parent and baby care
The sessions are free, lunch is provided and transport to and from the venue is available.
Dates of groups
Sessions always take place on Tuesdays from 11.30am to 1.30pm at The Grove Community Hub, Cort Cresent, Braunstone, LE3 1QZ for the first four sessions and Braunstone Children, Young People an Family Centre for the final session.
- 10, 17, 24, 31 May and 7 June
- 5, 12, 19, 26 July and 2 August
- 8, 13, 20, 27 September and 4 October
- 8, 15, 22, 29 November and 8 December
Those who attend the sessions will receive a free baby box full of baby care essentials and goodies.
