Quality Forum

The Quality Forum runs throughout each term and is open to all early years providers. With topic focussed discussion and activities, it allows for practitioners to share best practice and problem solve consistent challenges identified.

Autumn Forum 2019

There will be two parts to this term’s Quality Forum, both concerning subjects which are key to best practice.

Ailsa Coull, Prevent Education Officer for the L.A, will be introducing the new document, ‘Prevent Guidance for Early Years Providers’.  This document provides clarity around the Prevent Duty and your statutory responsibilities to keep children safe.  There will be opportunities to take part in activities that you will be able to share with your staff team to help gain a better understanding of Prevent.

From September 2019 Ofsted will change the way it inspects early years settings when the Common Inspection Framework (CIF) is replaced by the Education Inspection Framework (EIF).  We will re-visit the changes the new framework brings with opportunities to discuss and share practice on how we ensure we will be meeting the new requirements.
