Quality Forum

The Quality Forum runs throughout each term and is open to all early years providers. With topic focussed discussion and activities, it allows for practitioners to share best practice and problem solve consistent challenges identified.

Spring Forum 2020

There will be two topics at this term’s Quality Forum which we hope you will find informative and helpful to your practice.  Also there will be the opportunity to talk to other providers and share ideas and practice.

Since the introduction of 30 hours free childcare, there has been a change in how providers feed their children, with more of a reliance on packed lunches.  It is a requirement by Ofsted that all settings and childminders promote healthy eating practices.  Joanne Reade (Leicestershire Nutrition and Dietetic Service) will be delivering a sample ‘packed lunch workshop’, sharing some information and tools that you could use to support parents in making the right choices for their child’s lunch.

Since the introduction of the new Ofsted Inspection Framework, we will be looking to see if any trends are emerging from reports published recently, and also sharing and discussing best practice ideas.
