30 hours free childcare

Eligible families can get an additional 15 hours per week of free childcare for 38 weeks a year.  This is on top of the 15 hours per week of free early education that all three and four year olds are entitled to.

  • £120 a week (£6,000 a year) for each parent over 25 years old

  • £112.80 a week (£5,800 a year) for each parent aged 21 to 24 years old

Parents will not be eligible if:

  • Either parent earns more than £100,000 a year
  • Either parent is a non-EEA national and subject to immigration control and has no recourse to public funds.
