Drugs and alcohol

As you begin to grow up you may feel curious about drugs and alcohol.

If you’re friends have tried drugs, then you may be tempted to experiment too.  At first, many see drugs as a solution, but in many cases, drugs end up being the problem and you may find yourself becoming dependent on them.

Why do young people start taking drugs?

Most young people start taking drugs to change something about themselves or their life. The most common reasons are to:

  • Fit in

  • Escape or relax

  • Relieve boredom

  • Seem grown up

  • Rebel

  • Experiment
