College and further education

University

What's next?

Leaving school can be very exciting, but at the same time, it can also be scary as you start to think about your future and what you want to do.

This page is aimed at helping you explore your options and taking your next step if you are thinking about college or university.

What are my options?

If you are unsure of what you would like to do when you leave school or college, your school should provide access to independent and impartial careers advice and guidance.

Advisers from Connexions Leicester City provide this in most Leicester schools. Advisers also offer extra support to students who may find the move from pre to post 16 difficult.

If you are still at school speak to your Head of Year or Careers Coordinator for further advice on how to access your Careers Adviser.

Connexions Leicester City are running Options at 16+ workshops for parents to help them support their child in making informed career choices.
